Constitution Day also known as “Samvidhan Divas” is celebrated in India on 26th November since 2015. On this day in 1949, Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India which later came into effect on 26th January, 1950. Previously this day was celebrated as “Law Day”.
A special assembly was organised for the celebration of the day. The Vice-Principal, Shri S.C. Verma spoke to the students about the Constitution and its salient features. Principal, Ms. Neelima Sharma, in her address threw light on the significance of celebrating the Constitution Day. She also lead the School in taking the pledge, by reciting the Preamble to the Constitution. Students of Classes VI-VIII jointly displayed important information relevant to the Constitution on the main Notice Board of the School. Next day, a Quiz on the Constitution was organised in the assembly. A Poster Making Competition was also held on the occasion.
